White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2011

Last Summer, I did intern at an editorial office in Tokyo and had a lot of precious experience there. One of the best things was watching the fashion show from the front row!

The day before I finish the internship, an editor kindly asked me "do you wanna go to the show after work?" Of course, my answer was "YES!!!!!" And as I got the invitation for the editor-in-chief, Luckily, I was taken to the front row!!

The show I watched was for White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2011.
This brand has not been that famous in overseas yet, but in Japan, this brand has become popular in recent years.

White Mountaineering is established by the designer Yosuke Aizawa in 2006 and the concept is "The field in which we wear the clothes is all outdoors." He had worked for Comme Des Garçons for 5 years before establishing the brand. The clothes which Aizawa designs are mixture of design, utility and technology and usually inspired by outdoor clothes.

Spring/Summer 2011 season seems very much about geometric pattern and Tribal print.
He used various patterns of print in the collection and was made the garments unique. The taste of outdoor was successfully filtered down to street casual.
Here's some looks from the show.

In this collection, especially, I really like the desert boots with geometric pattern.
